Nepalese Woman Gang-Raped In Haryana's Yamunanagar, Husband Tied Up

In yet another spine-chilling incident of sexual assault, a 37-year-old Nepalese woman was allegedly gang-raped by four men in Haryana's Yamunanagar. The incident took place after the four men tied up her husband. The incident occurred at a village in Yamunanagar district on late Thursday night.

The couple and their two-year-old daughter live in a tubewell room in the village. The husband of the woman is an agricultural labourer. In her complaint, the woman stated that late Thursday, the five accused arrived in a car and gang-raped the Nepalese woman after tying her husband in the verandah.

“Five persons with covered faces came in a car at the tubewell around 11 pm on Thursday. I along with my daughter was sleeping in the room and my husband was sleeping in the verandah. They tied my husband. Four persons raped me,” the Nepalese woman said, TOI report.

The 37-year-old woman further added that when the fifth person tried to sexually assault her, she pushed him aside. Due to the push, he fell down, after which the fifth person threatened the woman with dire consequences and fled. Following which she untied her husband.

After the incident, the couple narrated their ordeal to their landlord who assisted them to the local police station. A case was then registered against the five accused under IPC sections 342 (wrongful confinement), 376D (gang-rape), 452 (house-trespass), and 506 (criminal intimidation). The case is being investigated.
