Who Is Roshibina Devi?

Naorem Roshibina Devi was born on December 30, 3000 in Kwaksiphai Mayai Leikai, which is in the Bishnpur district of Manipur. The 23-year-old martial artist reportedly belongs to the Meitei community of the Northeast Indian State. She was born into a family of agriculturalists and showed a keen interest in sports early on.

Speaking to Indian Express in a September 2023 interview, Roshibina said, "There’s a good culture of wushu in Manipur in India. I fell in love with wushu when I saw it for the first time during a district competition. That’s when I wanted to pick it up. I knew boxing and used to try it but I liked wushu more."
