Identified as one Myskal Zhumabaeva, the woman was 28 years old and lived with her husband, Vinay Chauhan, and son in the posh Greater Kailash area.

According to a PTI report, Zhumabaeva and her husband quarreled the night prior to her death. She allegedly wanted to visit a hospital owing to pregnancy issues. After arguing with her husband, she contacted some friends, including one named Matluba Madusmonova based in Kalkaji, who then took her to hospital.

Inquiry reveals Zhumabaeva returned to Madusmonova's place following the hospital visit on Monday night. The next day, she and her son were found dead. Police say the murder weapon, a knife, was discovered from the site of the crime and have confirmed it came from the flat's kitchen.

Case Of Pregnant Kyrgyzstan Woman Killed Under Mysterious Circumstances

DCP southeast Delhi RP Meena said police were informed of the deaths when Chauhan received a call from Zhumabaeva's friends. Reports suggest at least four others were present in the flat when the murders happened Tuesday morning between 8 and 9 AM. Besides Madusmonova, an Indian man Avnish has been named as part of Zhumabaeva's friend circle reportedly present in Kalkaji at the time of the murders.

Hindustan Times reports police are also probing the possibility of Zhumabaeva killing herself and then her son. The Kyrgyz woman's friends claim her bedroom door was shut from the inside and they had to force it open.

"As Chauhan was not present at the crime scene, his involvement is unlikely at least according to the circumstances of the case. However, we are also investigating him," DCP Meena said. The dead bodies will undergo medical examination at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

Zhumabaeva had married Chauhan two years ago and reportedly ran a guest-house business.
