Mumtaz On Indian Idol

Indian Idol season 13 shared a new promo in which actors Dharmendra and Mumtaz walked in on the show hand-in-hand as guests. Mumtaz was seen clad in a black shimmery outfit paired with golden bangles and hair styled in big waves. Dharmendra wore a grey suit and the two sat next to each other as the show went on.

Host Aditya Narayan introduced the guests and said, "Today is a special day due to two reasons. First, Dharmendra and Mumtaz are seen together after 50 years, two stalwarts of Hindi cinema. They did two films together. Loafer and Jheel Ke Uss Paar, both released in 1973. Secondly, she never went to any show despite thousands of requests. For the first time, she has come here on her own accord to meet her favourite singers".

Mumtaz debuted in Hindi film industry in 1958 with the film Sone Ki Chidiya at the age of 11 and did almost 26 memorable movies in the two decades of her career. In 1977 she took a 13 years long break from acting and made a comeback with Aandhiyan in 1990 and then quit acting for good.
