Mumbai Indians first ever WPL jersey
The very renowned Indian cricket team, Mumbai Indians recently unveiled their first-ever jersey for the upcoming mega event, Women's Premier League (WPL) via a video that has posted on the social media handles. The team which will be led by Indian skipper Harmanpreet Kaur will play their first ever match against Gujarat Titans on 4th March at the DY Patil stadium.

The team Mumbai Indians will have yeah Charlotte Edwards as their head coach, Jhulan Goswami as a team mentor, as well as the bowling coach and Devieka Palshikaar as the batting coach. All these coaches will take the responsibility for guiding the team as they compete against the other teams in the inaugural season of the Women's Premier League.

The first ever image of the new Mumbai Indians jersey for Women's Premier League was posted on the social media handles with the caption," here's to sun, the seas, the blue-and-gold of Mumbai. Here's to our first-ever #WPL jersey and all she brings." Fans absolutely loved the jersey and took to the comment section of the post to express their views, one such fan wrote, "The Blue-Gold and Pink Combination Suits So Well".

In the inaugural edition, a total of five teams which are the Delhi Capitals, Gujarat Giants, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, UP Warriors will compete to win the first ever Women's Premier League's champions trophy.

Indian players, Smriti Mandhana was sold for whopping INR 3.40 crores to Royal Challengers Bangalore became the top buy for the season, whereas the current captain of team India, Harmanpreet Kaur was secured by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.80 crores. All the other star from the Indian cricket team and from around the globe too made the cut in one of the five franchises to play this season.

In the first season, the Women's Premier League will host a total of 20 league matches and two play-off games which will all be played in a total of 23 days. Whereas the final of the Women's Premier League 2023 will take place at the Brabourne stadium on March 26th.
