She is such a versatile actress, I’m totally amazed 😩 Can y’all believe that she played such heavy roles right in the start of her career 👀 I mean, if THAT was the start, I can’t imagine what she’ll do in the future, she’s already above the skies right now, and she achieved ALL of this fame and love with side roles 🥺 She is really out there winning millons of hearts and blowing my mind a little more everyday with every second that passes 😭 @albafloresoficial you are UNBELIEVABLE 🙌 The movie is called ‘Vicente Ferrer’ ♥️ @albafloresoficial

The shots are from an old television show in which Alba portrayed the character of an Indian woman. As the clips are going viral on the internet, we cannot not love the actress in Indian regional attires (saree and braided hair), speaking the language so fluently that stunned us.

Reportedly, the video clip is from Vincente Ferrer (2013) which was shot near Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Alba plays the character of a teacher who is trying to educate women of Anantapur.

As the fans rejoice, we decided to know more about the star and how she landed a role in Netflix’s hit show Money Heist.

A traumatic childhood

Born to a family of well-known musicians, in her early childhood, Alba’s parents got separated. Her father, Antonio Flores, is a musician and composer, and her mother, Ana Villa, is a theatre producer. She lost her father when she was just eight, he died due to drug overdose at 33.

This happened only two weeks after her grandmother had passed away. She was then raised by her mother.

Started acting classes at 13

Alba realized her calling at a very early age.  She began her training in dramatic interpretation at 13. She also took piano performance classes and debuted on-stage with minor roles in Honeymoon in Hiroshima and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. In 2005, Alba Flores made her first appearance in  El Calentito, working together with performers such as Ruth Diaz and Lluvia Rojo.

Finally, after years of brilliant back to back performances, she got international recognition after the show La Casa De Papel enlisted in the most-watched show on Netflix in 2017. She played the role of a bank robber in the series.

She can sing too

Her grandmother, Lola Flores, is one of Spain’s renowned actresses and singers.

In a video, uploaded by a fan page, Alba is seen singing Dream a Little Dream of Me and we are swooning. Check out the video.

She is vegetarian

The actress revealed that after years of eating meat, she turned vegetarian after an incident at a family function. It was at her family’s Christmas Eve party that led to Alba to adopt a new lifestyle. Supporting PETA’s new ad campaign, the actress is now openly advocating for vegetarianism and we love it!

Not an original cast for Money Heist

Shocking, isn’t it? In an interview with The Oprah Magazine, Alba explained that after working with the creator of Money Heist, Alex Pina, in another Spanish series he asked if she wanted to join the series.

According to Alex Pina the series was not going to work with only one female character (Tokyo) and decided to add Nairobi. He wrote a role for Alba and gave us the most fierce character in the series.

Bid farewell to Money Heist

Sharing a farewell video with the team, she said “For some people in the team, with some people of the team, it’s been many years. I want to thank you all for everything you’ve taught me. I’ve grown here as an actress, more than I ever imagined I would and as a person.” Alba concluded by saying that she will miss them all.
