Prince Harry’s Daughter: Lilibet, the 1-month-old daughter of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was recently added to the royal family’s line of succession site on Monday, July 26.
On July 25 many noticed that the Lilibet wasn’t on the list of the royal family’s line as ITV’s Chris Ship pointed out Lilibet’s absence during a podcast episode of “Royal Rata”. The little one now ranks eighth and her 2-year-old brother Archie ranks seventh.
Prince Charles, Prince William, and his three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis and Prince Harry rank above the siblings and Prince Andrew and his eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice rank after Lilibet at ninth and 10th respectively.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle wrote in a statement on their Archewell website that Lilibet is named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II is also known as Lilibet among her family members. The couple also mentioned that Diana, Lilibet’s middle name was chosen to honour the Princess of Wales, who is her late grandmother.
It is a well-known fact that Harry and Meghan have exited their royal roles and moved to the United States. In March, the couple spoke to CBS about their time as working royals in an interview, and a piece of news circulated on July 19 that Harry is working on a memoir that will be published in 2022.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became parents to Archie in May 2019. Their son was born one year after their wedding at Windsor Castle. The Sussex couple welcomed their younger daughter Lilibet on June 4, 2021, at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California. Post which Prince Harry also took parental leave, he shared this news through a statement that he published on the Archewell Foundation website. Along with it, the employees of the couple’s website were offered up to 20 weeks of parental leave.
