All the boxers have been divided into three groups, with two sparring partners for each person. This has been done in order to reduce the risk of infection.

Earlier, the training of the female boxers got disrupted, after 21 participants of the national camp in New Delhi, including High Performance Director Raffaele Bergamasco and head coach Mohammed Ali Qamar tested positive for COVID-19. This happened at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium on April 14 this year.

Both Bergamasco and Qamar have now recovered from COVID-19.

Many other boxers are currently training at the camp in Pune. This includes Arundhati Choudhary, Manju Rani, Sonia Lather, etc.
