Marianne Borgo recently became a hot topic of news when she shared the story of how she was held hostage in her own bungalow in Panaji's Calangute. She claimed on February 2 that she was leaving the bungalow after being trapped inside it for eleven days.

Who Is Marianne Borgo?

  • 75-year-old Marianne Borgo took her acting training from Conservatoire National d’Arte Dramatique and Centre d’Arte Dramatique. The French actor has featured in many films including The Bourne Identity in 1988, A Little Princess in 1986 and Le Divorce in 2003 and has acted alongside actors like Kate Hudson and Stephen Fry.
  • Borgo has also starred in a French thriller series titled Profilage and also in Danny Goes Aum which was an Indian production. The actor recently completed shooting for a TV film in 2023. She was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 38th Film Festival of Alexandria held in 2022.
  • Marianne Borgo was born in Paris and suffered from dyslexia as a child. She dreamed of becoming an actor and after much hesitation and resistance from her parents, she finally joined France's Conservatoire National d’Arte Dramatique and was selected among 2000 applicants.
