The Mandalorian’s Gina Carano Announces New Movie Project

Gina Carano Movie Project : She hit global spotlight after she was fired from Star Wars series The Mandalorian, for her comments on social media.

She came back with a vengeance, announcing on Friday that she has already signed up for a new movie project she is making with the website The Daily Wire. Carano, who played former Rebel Alliance soldier Cara Dune on Disney’s hit show, parted ways with the company Lucasfilm after her post on holocaust caused outrage on social media.The controversial posts by Carano inferred that being a Republican today is like being Jewish during the holocaust.

After she was dropped from the Star Wars spinoff, Carano shared a statement revealing that she is developing her own movie and told USA Today, “The Daily Wire (co-founded by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro) is helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered."

She also took to her Instagram to celebrate the new partnership and expressed gratitude for the fans who still supported her. "I’d like to thank you all from the deepest part of my heart for the love I’ve received over the past 24 hours," she wrote. "I would not be here without your support. Thank you to @realdailywire @officialbenshapiro for helping make one of my dreams — to develop and produce my own film — come true. I cried out and my prayer was answered."

Further, she aims to send a "direct message of hope to everyone living in fear of cancellation by the totalitarian mob."

As per reports, the former mixed martial arts fighter will develop, produce, and star in the upcoming film. "I have only just begun using my voice which is now freer than ever before, and I hope it inspires others to do the same. They can’t cancel us if we don’t let them,” she added saying.

Carano has been in news for the past few months. She was time and again criticised for mocking COVID-19 mask mandates, spreading alleged conspiracies about the 2020 United States presidential elections, liking posts disparaging the Black Lives Matter movement, and deriding pronoun usage.
