Adding to the list of bizarre cases of revenge, 2022 has seen too many of it. This time it is Gujarat's man who injected his ex-wife with HIV-infected blood. The accused has been arrested, and the police state that he has confessed that he planned the crime inspired by a TV show.

1. Gujarat-based 35-year-old Shankar Kamble, a driver, injected his ex-wife with HIV-infected blood after she refused to return to him.

2. The woman is currently undergoing medical treatment, says the reports. The necessary tests will be performed in the coming months.

3. During questioning, the accused admitted to injecting HIV-infected blood into his ex-wife.

4. Under the guise of collecting blood samples for tests, the accused went to a hospital's HIV ward and collected blood from an HIV patient.

5. He was arrested on Monday based on the complaint filed by the victim. The police had found blood in the accused's pocket.

6. He had planned the attack a month ago and was waiting to meet his ex-wife. Reportedly, the duo had spent Sunday evening together, shopping and eating. They had then gone to a secluded spot in the Mora Bhagal area to spend some private time. He had tried convincing the victim to patch things up with him, but she had refused. While hugging the victim, the accused pierced the injection into her buttock.

7. The woman had fallen unconscious. She had registered a police complaint on regaining consciousness.

8. The reports suggest that the accused further revealed that he had gotten the idea from a TV show where a man injected a woman with a dog's blood.

9. The accused and the victim had been married for 15 years before getting divorced two months ago. According to the victim, the accused's constant suspicion about her character had led to the divorce.

10. Cases have been filed under respective Indian Penal Code sections, and further investigations are ongoing.
