Henceforth, whenever a man is assaulted or battered sexually, he is often told to enjoy it instead of protesting against it. 1.Nearly 1 in 5 women have experienced completed or attempted rape during her lifetime.
2.1 in 3 female rape victims experienced it for the first time between 11-17 years old.
3.1 in 8 female rape victims reported that it occurred before age 10.
But, we mustn't forget, that these statistics are true as well:
1.Researchers have found that at least 1 in 6 men have experienced sexual abuse or assault, whether in childhood or as adults.
2.Approximately 1 in 21 men (4.8%) reported that they were made to penetrate someone else during their lifetime; most men who were made to penetrate someone else reported that the perpetrator was either an intimate partner (44.8%) or an acquaintance (44.7%).
3.Nearly 1 in 71 men (1.4%) have been raped at some time in their lives, including completed forced penetration, attempted forced penetration, or alcohol/drug facilitated completed penetration.
Men also have an equal right to consent. Many still dismiss, mock, minimise, ignore and in some cases even celebrate male rape. There are many misconceptions, and there are still those who believe rape and abuse isn’t really an issue for which boys and men. Men are expected to always be tough, never show emotions, always fight back, which brings them shame and denial in accepting sexual assault and rape. Precisely that is why, it is hard for people to understand that they are not lustful monsters but people with an equal access to respectful intercourse. A case of sodomisation of a 19-year-old has been brought to light from the city of Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
What is the charge?
Police arrested three people from Thane, Maharashtra District, on allegations of sodomising a 19-year-old Gujarat model, an official said Thursday. Senior inspector DS Dhole of the Wagle Estate police station said an offence was reported against the trio under IPC section 377 (unnatural offences) and a search was on for a fourth accused.
The Wagle State police said that the complainant, a model and resident of Gujarat, had come to the house of his relative in Thane to investigate job possibilities in Mumbai. The survivor told the police via social media that he was friends with one of the accused, Puneet Shukla.

What does the complainant say?
The complainant, originally from Gujarat, came to Thane last Sunday to meet his acquaintance. He had a relationship with one of the defendants as well, Dhole said.He said the accused battered and looted the victim and even sodomised him in the premises of a dead factory in the area of Wagle Farm.
The crime hit the headlines on Tuesday after a police report was filed by the victim, he said.
What is Sodomy?
Acts falling under the sodomy definition can vary quite a bit. Only anal sex between two men might involve the limited concept of sodomy. Aside from vaginal intercourse, including oral and anal sex, or between two men or two women or a man and a woman, sodomy may also be more generally defined to encompass any sexual penetration.
