Last month, 74-year-old Lalu Yadav travelled to Singapore for medical treatment. The three-time Bihar chief minister and seasoned politician have struggled with a number of health issues.

Yadav is reportedly receiving treatment at AIIMS Delhi for a renal disease that has reportedly damaged his kidneys by 75%. The Singaporean doctors approved the kidney transplant, despite the fact that the local medical professionals refused to. India has severe dos and don'ts regarding transplants.

The youngest of Lalu Prasad and Rabri Yadav's two daughters is Acharya. She has one older sister and seven brothers in her family of eight. She was trained as a doctor and wed software programmer Samaresh Singh in 2002. Despite currently residing in Singapore, Acharya regularly engages in political discourse about India, particularly Bihar.
