Anita Yadav Manhandled, Video Sparks Outrage: What To Know

Yadav is a supporter of the Samajwadi Party, a direct opponent to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state's ongoing panchayat elections at the block level. Block chairman elections will be held on Saturday, July 10. The BJP has clinched victory at the zila panchayat elections with 65 out of 75 seats.

As per reports, Yadav had accompanied Ritu Singh, SP candidate who was there to file a nomination for the block polls. The video shows Yadav, in a pink saree, was pulled around by men. The incident has led many to question the law and order situation during the polls under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
