Lajpat Nagar House Help Death: A 19-year-old woman’s dead body was found at a house in southeast Delhi’s Lajpat Nagar on Friday. As per the reports, the woman was a resident of Madrasi Camp and worked as a house help with her mother Lajpat Nagar.
According to the police officers, they call a saying that the woman died by electrocution. When the police reached the spot, they saw her body had burn injuries.
The police said that the woman reached Lajpat Nagar to work at her employers place at 7 am and died after an hour in the house. The police are currently investigating the matter. The woman's body has been sent for post mortem examination. The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Esha Pandey said that any further action in the case will be take after the post mortem results are out.

The suspicions are arising about the woman's death as the burn injuries on her body were seen. The Delhi Commission for Women has taken congisance of the matter and has issued notice to Delhi Police. They have asked for more details of the case and the action report of the police.

Earlier this year, a 41-year-old woman of Indian origin was sentenced to 30 years in prison for torturing her house help to death. The house help was being physically abused for 14 months, since the day she was hired.
Some of the charges against her were of wrongful restraint, culpable homicide, voluntarily causing grievous hurt by starvation and causing hurt by a heated substance, according to a report by Channel News Asia. The house help was 24-year-old named Piang Ngaih Don, a native of Myanmar. She died on July 26, 2016 and she was hit by her employer's mother. The autopsy report of her body showed that a bone in her throat was fractured in addition to brain damage, as per reports.
