Kirti Bhoutika Is The Latest Masterchef India

Masterchef India wrapped up Season Five with a young home-baker winning the show. Kolkata-born Kirti is the youngest ever to win the Indian counterpart of the world famous culinary show.

“Ending this beautiful journey with a Thank you note to each one who has ever played any role in my life. I am honoured to be carrying the title of Masterchef India, and I promise to not let any of you down. Thank you for your undying faith in me," Kirti posted on Facebook after winning the competition.

The show is judged by Michelin-starred chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Kunal Kapur, and restaurateur Zorawar Kalra. The finale of the season had four contestants vying for the winner’s trophy- Ashima Arora, Dinesh Patel, Kirti Bhoutika and Mirvaan Vinayak.

The show that has seen the presence of many Bollywood actors in the past had Sonakshi Sinha this time in its finale episode.

The show has had other women winning the prestigious title like Pankaj Bhadauria and Shipra Khanna who made their mark in the culinary industry with their unique skill set. Now Kirti is expected to become a big name herself. She has studied Food and Nutrition Science at JD Birla Institute, Kolkata.

Kirti’s stint with baking started in class 11 when she did a one-day baking class where she was taught basic baking like chocolate truffle. Then she started baking for friends and family and she never looked back since then, as she told Bunkstreet.
