Brigadier Lalit Sharma, the Post Commander, summoned the couple to the Pangode military station here on Monday and felicitated them.

The Indian Army shared a photo of the Thiruvananthapuram couple's invitation on their Instagram page on Friday, and it has since gotten a lot of appreciation on social media.

Rahul R Pillai and Karthika KS married on November 10 in Kerala's capital city.

The invitation began with ‘Dear Heroes,’ as they continued addressing to the heroes of the country, “We (Rahul and Karthika) are getting married on November 10th. We are truly thankful for your love, determination, and the true patriotism towards our country. We are truly thankful for love, determination, and patriotism towards our country. The Indian Army shower their best wishes to the couple through their official social media page.

The charming handwritten inscription on the card piqued the interest of social media users and quickly went viral.

Invitation received massive replies

The social media posts on the invitation received massive replies, garnering a tremendous amount of likes, shares, and comments.

The pair were honoured at the Pangode Military Station in Thiruvananthapuram and were greeted with a bouquet at the Army Camp.

The Station Commander expressed the Army's heartfelt gratitude for their exquisite handmade wedding invitation. The Station Commander spoke with the pair and gave them a souvenir. He counselled the pair to work hard to help establish the country. He went on to say, "Whether in uniform or not, every citizen's contribution is valuable, and the Army's existence is dependent on the citizens."

Rahul R Pillai works as an Assistant Bank Manager in Coimbatore, whereas Kartika KS works as an IT specialist in Trivandrum's Technopark.
