Woman Says PM's Mann Ki Baat Helped Win Rs 50 Lakh On KBC

Happiness knew no bounds for Minakshi Jain, a housewife from Mumbai, who won Rs 50 lakh on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati - Season 9 recently. What makes her achievement rather special is the fact that she has attended school only till class 10.

She had to answer the following question -"Which of the following freedom fighters coined the slogan 'Quit India'?. She had to choose among four options - Aruna Asif Ali, Dhondo Keshav Karve, Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, and Yusuf Meherally.

Without batting an eyelid, she responded 'Yusuf Meherally'.

She told KBC host Amitabh Bachchan that she had heard PM Narendra Modi mention this in his monthly radio address - Mann Ki Baat

She had remembered it since then.

The video of Minakshi answering the Rs 50 lakh was posted by BJP's official twitter handle on Monday. (October 9)

The right answer helped her take home Rs 50 lakh.

What makes her achievement rather special is the fact that she has attended school only till class 10.

Last week, Jamshedpur-based NGO worker Anamika Majumdar became the first crorepati of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 9’.

Her NGO works towards the elevation of women and impoverished children of Jharkhand. It aims to educate these groups to help them build a better life. She will be reserving a major portion of her winning amount for her NGO, Faith in India.

Famous female cricketers like Mithali Raj, senior player Jhulan Goswami, Smriti Mandhana, Poonam Raut, Harmanpreet Kaur, Veda Krishnamurthy and Deepti Sharma have also graced the show.

 Kaun Banega Crorepati is a special game show on TV which has been entertaining the audience for 17 years.
