A bride in Chinakurali village of Pandavapura taluk in Karnataka has become an inspiring example for other village girls by sitting for her exam on her wedding day. She tied the marital knot and rushed to the examination centre to write her university exam.
L Y Aishwarya, a student of STC Degree College, wrote her exam after marrying Avinash. The couple’s marriage was scheduled to take place on 11th May. However, she received the University of Mysore’s exam timetable, she realized that her exam was on her wedding day only.

It is great to see brides giving equal importance to education and marriage. Another inspiring story is of a bride in Rajasthan who appeared for her final year exam in the state’s Barmer region on April 21. She was accompanied by her groom to the examination centre. The couple had surprised everyone when they reached the examination centre in their wedding attires. Her husband was quoted saying, “Hiroo has sent an example by deciding to take the examination amidst the rituals of the marriage. Education is very important in today’s time!” The bride also said that a wedding day is important for women but education is equally important because their entire lives are based on it.
Another bride appeared for her exam in Gujarat’s Rajkot on her wedding day. The only difference is that she went to appear for the exam before the wedding rituals began with her fiancé.
