What Internet Thinks Of K'taka Teacher's Romantic Video With Student

Recently, a teacher in Karnataka released a romantic video with her student on social media which has gone viral. In the video, the teacher, who is the headmistress of a government high school in Murugamalla village, Chintamani taluk, Karnataka, is seen indulging in romantic poses with her student who is in class 10 SSLC. 

The video has since received a huge backlash for depicting a teacher's inappropriate behaviour with her minor student. The teacher is being scrutinised for shooting such a video while being on a school tour. The video has enraged the parents of the students who demanded immediate action against the teacher. The parents confronted the headmistress in the school and filed a complaint with the Block Education Officer, demanding swift action and a comprehensive investigation into the teacher's conduct.

In the video, the teacher dressed in a saree can be seen getting intimate with the student dressed in a kurta and jeans. The students can be seen kissing and lifting the teacher and even tugging at the saree. The video was shot on the teacher's mobile phone during a school tour.

A similar incident happened in 2022 when a teacher posted a video of her dancing to a Bhojpuri song while her students were waving at her in the background. These videos have escalated the scrutiny against teachers for violating professional conduct by their inappropriate behaviour with their students. 

Reactions on social media

While on social media, the video has received mixed reactions. While some users are condemning the act as inappropriate, others are letting it go as a consensual act. 

One user wrote, "As a society, we are living in much better times today than our grandparents. With regards to the above, these things have always happened in schools where some teachers have abused their power and have erred. In the past, these things were hushed up quickly to avoid embarrassment." 

While another pointed out, "People want it both ways, they want to be modern and yet find fault. Leave them be, there are several old men marrying young girls."
