Karnataka Minor Gangraped: A minor girl from Karnataka’s Bantwal district was allegedly abducted and gangraped by five men, police said on Friday She was reportedly kidnapped and taken to an unknown location. The accused have been booked under various sections under the IPC as well as Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The minor was allegedly taken to an unknown location and gangraped after being kidnapped from an auto-rickshaw stand.
As per reports, the incident occurred on Friday morning when the girl was going to school, said Hrishikesh Sonawane, the Dakshina Kannada Superintendent of police.
The girl reportedly knew one of the persons of the gang. The man allegedly came in a car with four more people who kidnapped the minor and took her to an isolated location and raped her. A CCTV recording showed that she was later dropped at Brahmarakutlu, as per reports.
The accused have been booked under sections 366(a)(abduction) and 376(D)(rape) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and under the Protection Of Children from Sexual offences (POCSO) Act. None of the five have been arrested as of yet although a search has been launched. The minor has been admitted to a hospital at Mangaluru.
In a recent case in Nagpur, it was reported that a 16-year-old girl from Nagpur was allegedly gangraped. The minor’s boyfriend reportedly took money from his friends to allow them to sexually abuse her.
The minor was found in a suspicious state after which the police handed over her body to her family members. She told the police that about five to six men had found her in a compromising position. They went on to beat up her boyfriend and also sexually assaulted her. A fall-out between the girl's boyfriend and other men over the matter of money was later reported.

The 16-year-old along with her mother proceeded to file a complaint at the police station. This was allegedly the second time she was sexually assaulted. A case was registered involving the girl last year as well, as per reports.
