As per reports, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has asked about those who came in contact with the duo directed them to undergo RT-PCR test.

As per reports, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has asked about those who came in contact with the duo directed them to undergo RT-PCR test.

The BMC also claimed that Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora violated the norms of the pandemic and attended several parties. Whether the duo is infected with Omicron variant or not is not clear. Speaking to ANI, the BMC said in a statement, "Actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora tested positive for #COVID19. Both of them had violated Covid norms and attended several parties. BMC has ordered people, who came in contact with the two actors, to undergo RT-PCR test."

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor Khan will be seen Aamir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chaddha. The film will be a Bollywood remake of Forrest Gump starring Hollywood actor Tom Hanks. It will be directed by Advait Chandan. This will be third film in which Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are seen together.

India COVID-19 Tally:

As per reports, 7,350 people tested positive for the virus in the span of one day. This makes total number of COVID-19 cases India reach 3,46,97,860. The active number of cases at the moment are 91,456. In the last 561 days, it is the lowest number of active cases in the country, as per the Union Health Ministry. New fatalities recorded are 202 as per the data recorded at 8 am on Monday. The total number of deaths in the country are 4,75,636 so far.

In the last 46 days, the new cases recorded are below 15,000. The national COVID-19 recovery rate has also increased to 98.37 per cent. The daily positivity rate recorded as per the Health Ministry is 0.86 per cent. Since the first case of Omicron was detected in India in early December, the possibility of a third wave of the pandemic has made headlines.
