Kangana Ranaut praises Alia Bhatt

Meghna Gulzar’s Raazi has taken Indian cinema a notch higher with Alia Bhatt's mesmerizing performance. At a very young age, Bhatt has proven her acting mettle with movies before Raazi. But her role in this movie has the strength to overpower any female-led performance in 2018 or the years to come. The latest actor to admire Bhatt’s work is Bollywood Queen Kangana Ranaut.

Ranaut on Monday watched Raazi and was all praise for the Highway star. In a media interaction, she conferred her 'Queen title' on Alia. She said, “She is a crowned queen. I am going to send Alia a congratulatory message for her film. I think Alia is most definitely undisputed queen. It's Alia’s world and we are just living in it.”

She also praised the film Raazi and Gulzar’s directorial prowess. “I really liked Raazi. It was awesome. Meghna (Gulzar) did a splendid job with the film. I have no words to express performance of Alia (Bhatt) in the film. She is so good in the film. Meghna and Alia invited me on the trial of their film but I couldn’t attend it because I was busy shooting for my film. Then I promised them that I will watch the film soon.”

Raazi has become the second female-led Bollywood film that has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in its earnings after Tanu Weds Manu Returns. Reacting to this, Bhatt said, “The numbers show that the audience connected with the content in a big way. I feel a sense of validation and gratitude. But with success comes responsibility too. With this, I feel I need to be more responsible in my choices henceforth.”

This is not the first time that Ranaut has promoted the work of other women actors and directors. She also praised actor Tamannah Bhatia when she released the title song of her trilingual ‘Tutak Tutak Tutiya’. Ranaut had said she was a big fan of Tamannah and hence she is looking forward to watching this film, quoted Mirchi 9. Then she also praised Saundarya Sharma who made her debut in Ranchi Diaries. She said Saundarya portrayed her role with grace while releasing the movie's song ‘Fashion Queen’ in 2017. “Fashion Queen is a peppy number. Saundarya has effortlessly portrayed the grace that a local fashion queen carries,” she said, reported India Glitz.
