Rape Case Registered Against Actor Kangana Ranaut's Bodyguard In Mumbai: Report

Rape case against Kangana Ranaut bodyguard? Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut's bodyguard was booked under charges of rape and cheating in Mumbai yesterday. Mumbai police has booked the actor's personal bodyguard for allegedly raping a beautician on the pretext of marriage.

After recording a statement by the woman, a case was registered on Wednesday night (May 19) at the DN Nagar police station in suburban Mumbai, ANI reported. The accused is yet to be arrested, the official claimed.

On the basis of a complaint filed by the beautician, the police stated that the 30-year-old woman. The survivors claimed that she and the accused, have known each other for eight years, reported Times of India. in June last year they both decided to get married after he proposed to her. He then started staying in her flat.

According to the complaint, the woman had alleged that the accused promised marriage to her and also took a sum of Rs 50,000 from her, citing family emergency back home, and left for his native place in Karnataka, The New Indian Express reported. The complainant also accused him of establishing physical relationship with her on multiple occasions and ignoring her repeated pleas for marriage.

The survivor further claimed in her complaint that the accused then stopped taking her phone calls after reaching Karnataka and a few days ago, the beautician got a phone call from a woman who claimed to be the accused's mother. She told the Mumbai-based woman that her son can not marry her as they both are from different faiths. However, when the woman later got to know that her fiancé is planning to marry a woman at his native place on June 5, she approached the police in Mumbai, the official said.

"Based on the complaint, a case under Sections 376 (rape charges) and 420 (cheating) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) has been registered against bodyguard of a famous Bollywood actress at DN Nagar PS in Andheri. The accused is yet to be arrested," said the police.
