Jennifer Aniston's debut on Instagram sends the platform crashing

Actor and TV star Jennifer Aniston made a sensational debut on Instagram that sent the social media site crashing. As of now, she has over 7 million followers. The former Friends actor, also considered one of the social media’s most popular recluses, officially made her debut on 15th October, making the platform crash briefly as fans crowded to follow her account.

In one hour, Aniston’s page had drawn more than 116,000 followers, and her first post accumulated hundreds of thousands of likes before crashing, reported The Guardian.

Instagram users rushed to get a look at the post which was a selfie starring the main characters of Friends. Sitting beside her former co-stars, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and David Schwimmer, she penned that they were now Instagram FRIENDS as well which is a pun on the word 'Friends'.

Her bio line states, “My friends call me Jen.”

Aniston was greeted to the site by her friend and fellow actor Reese Witherspoon, who commented under the selfie: “YASSSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!!”. Aniston followed fellow actors including Adam Sandler and Justin Theroux, her former spouse, and also commented on a photograph of the cast posted by Matt LeBlanc.

Aniston, 50 is most wellknown for the character Rachel Green on the bestseller sitcom, Friends which lasted for ten seasons and celebrated its 25th anniversary this year. This month, Aniston refused the possibility of a Friends movie.  She said that their producers would not want it and would not let them. Suppose one chapter begins and another one close for good?
