US Vice President JD Vance’s First India Visit: Of Forts & Monuments

US Vice President JD Vance is on a four-day visit to India along with his family. JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance were seen walking hand-in-hand as they arrived in New Delhi on Monday, April 21.

US Vice President JD Vance was received at Delhi’s Palam Airport by Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.

Upon arrival in Delhi, JD Vance was honoured with a ceremonial Guard of Honour.

JD Vance, along with his wife Usha Vance and their children—Vivek, Ewan, and Maribel—visited the Akshardham Temple in the capital.

JD Vance also met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of ongoing efforts by New Delhi to prevent US tariffs, pursue a bilateral trade agreement, and deepen its relationship with the Trump administration.

This marks JD Vance’s first official visit to India as the Vice President of the United States. After his engagements in Delhi, JD Vance is expected to travel to Jaipur and Agra.
