Actor Jacqueline Fernandez's Mother Suffers Heart Stroke In Bahrain

Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez's mother Kim was reportedly rushed to hospital Tuesday in Bahrain, where she resides, after suffering a heart stroke. She is presently under medical observation. Further details are awaited.

Fernandez, 36, hails from Sri Lanka and is based in Mumbai owing to professional commitments. Her parents, meanwhile, live in Bahrain where Fernandez also completed early years of her school. She belongs to a multicultural background, with her mother Kim being of Malaysian and Canadian descent, and her father being Sri Lankan.

The update on her mother's health comes amid Fernandez being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection to a fraud case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar. More on that here.

Fernandez and her mother are said to share a close bond. Last year on her mother's birthday in April, the Bhoot Police actor shared photos of the duo on Instagram, writing, "Love you miss you and wish you were here with me quarantined together."

Fernandez's upcoming projects include Ram Setu, Cirkus and Attack. 

The actor is among the actors whose links to Chandrashekhar are being probed by the ED in a Rs 200 crore extortion case. She was allegedly involved romantically with him, as per Chandrashekhar's latest statement. Fernandez reportedly accepted gifts worth lakhs from Chandrashekhar, including from luxury brands like Hermes, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Mini Cooper. These gifts were brought from what were criminal proceeds gained through fraud. He also allegedly arranged private jet trips for her and sent gifts to other members of her family.

Nora Fatehi is the other actor named in connection with the case and questioned by the ED for the same. As per certain reports, there are at least five other celebrities whose links to Chandrashekhar are being investigated.
