Iran Shuts Down Morality Police, Reportedly

The reports of the Iran government shutting down the morality police that killed Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old woman for not wearing her headscarf properly, led to one of the most significant protests in the country, which was circulated yesterday. New reports suggest that there is no confirmation about this. Masih Alinejad, Iranian journalist and activist tweeted saying, "It’s disinformation that Islamic Republic of Iran has abolished it’s morality police. It’s a tactic to stop the uprising. Protesters are not facing guns and bullets to abolish morality police or forced hijab.They want to end Islamic regime." According to the reports, there have been 300 deaths including children in the ongoing protests in the country. Read more here.

Twin Sisters Marry Same Man Together, Case Filed

In a bizarre turn of events, it was found that twin sisters in the Solapur district in Mumbai were participating in a wedding ceremony to marry the same man. The three of them reportedly grew up together in the same building and a man who is named Atul helped the twin sisters Rinky and Pinky after they lost their father. A video went viral from their wedding where it can be seen the two brides trying to put their wedding garland on the groom's neck and failed followed by each of them being held by others to reach his height and put on the garland. The video seems like a normal wedding where the relatives from each side knew about such an unusual arrangement.  A case has been filed against the newlywed for a non-cognisable offence under Section 494.

Gujarat Wrestler Arrested For Molesting Woman, Police Finds 100 More

Kaushal Pipaliya, a state-level champion in wrestling from Gujarat was arrested after a yoga teacher filed a complaint against him for molesting her. The survivor told the police that the incident happened inside an elevator and when she protested he physically abused her. The police started looking for the man but faced an issue because he apparently wore a face mask all the time. But after looking at the necessary evidence from CCTV footage they came to a shocking revelation that Pipaliya has been molesting random women on the roads regularly and the count goes up to 100. According to reports, police inspector I N Savaliya in Malaviyanagar said, "Pipaliya has admitted to having molested around 100 women and was getting pervert pleasure from his vile act. However, the victims refrained from coming forward and lodging complaints against him out of shame."

Elnaaz Rekabi's House Demolished

The Iranian climber who participated in an international event in South Korea reportedly had an accident where her headscarf fell off from her head while doing the task. The news spread quickly and people anticipated for the morality police in Iran to attack her. But after Rekabi confirmed her return to her homeland, there was no other news update given. Recently a BBC Persian reporter Parham Ghobadi tweeted a video of the demolished house of Rekabi with several medals fallen on the ground. The tweet says, "Last month Iranian police demolished a house which belonged to #Elnaz_Rekabi’s brother, BBC Persian has learned. Iranian climber Elnaz Rekabi competed without a headscarf at a contest in South Korea in Oct. She was forced to apologise. Davood, Elnaz’s brother, is also a climber."
