Ira Khan Thanks Family In Her Engagement Post

Aamir Khan's daughter Ira Khan got engaged to her long term boyfriend, Nupur Shikhare on November 18 in the presence of her family and friends. The photos of the ceremony are going viral on the internet.

Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare had their engagement ceremony in Mumbai which was attended by family and friends including Aamir Khan, Aamir's exes Kiran Rao and Reena Dutta, Azad Rao Khan, actor and Ira's Khan Imran Khan with his family. The ceremony was a Khan family reunion and the pictures from the event are going viral on the internet. On November 21, Ira Khan made an Instagram post thanking her family for attending the event and making it special.

Ira Khan Engagement Post

In her Instagram post about her engagement to Nupur Shikhare, Ira Khan wrote gratitude note, which read- "This moment. Multiple people on multiple occasions have told me that I throw really good parties. I think they give me a little too much credit. The main difference between my parties and other people parties is the guest list. The people in our lives are what make it happy and fun and quirky and so very, very wholesome."

She went on to thank her family and friends for their presence and wrote, "Thank you for being there and allowing us to be seen in our proclamation of love for either other. Because that’s exactly what we wanted to do. Sending much joy and appreciation to you all. The most to @nupur_shikhare but that’s a whole other post. Obviously. P.S. The post was shared along with a video of the couple exchanging rings while Bruno Mars' song Marry You played in the background and the crowd cheered for them after which they hugged and kissed. 37-years-old Nupur Shikhare is a fitness trainer and the duo met when Ira Khan was working on her fitness during lockdown. Shikhare trained her for some time and the friendship turned into love. Earlier this year, during a cycling event in Italy, Shikhare proposed to Khan.
