"There are people who are dying every day and there are people who are injured and there are dead people who are also lying under the debris," Shaboo exclaimed.

She added that the situation in the Gaza Strip is getting worse every day, with a shortage of water, electricity, or the internet. "We went through a very bad phase over there," she said. “There is a scarcity of everything—food supplies, medicines. There is no medical care. Hospitals are out of service. Bombardment is happening everywhere," she added. She also mentioned that their water supply has been cut off since October 9.

Shaboo further said that since the telecommunication has been cut off in Gaza, there will be no information on the situation there anymore.

“I hope that this video will reach the people and it will convey the message that Gaza is getting choked by every second." the refugee said.

In another video that she shared earlier, Shaboo said, "The sounds of bombardment are too scary and the whole house shakes. It is a very, very scary situation." Lubna also said that she had moved with her family to the southern part of Gaza, where she had spent several days with acquaintances before being evacuated.

Safely Evacuated From Gaza to Egypt

Lubna Nazir Shaboo and her daughter Karima had safely crossed the Gaza-Egypt Rafah border and reached Cairo with the help of the Indian embassy on November 14. Soon after the Hamas-Israel conflict broke out on October 7, Shaboo reached out to PTI seeking help.

"I left home early in the morning with my husband and daughter and had to undergo a difficult time to reach the southern side of Gaza near the border. The roads have been all destroyed in Israeli bombings, and even transport is a major issue", Shaboo told PTI before informing of her successful arrival in Cairo.

“I safely crossed over from Gaza at the Rafah border and am now awaiting my return to Kashmir," she told PTI.

The Israeli army has surrounded the strip from all sides, and the Rafah crossing is now the only way that is sometimes left open for humanitarian aid to enter Gaza or let a few foreign nationals and wounded people cross over to the other side.

A few weeks after her evacuation mission was initiated by the Indian embassy, Shaboo confided to PTI that her name was approved among people who could leave Gaza and thanked the Indian missions in Ramallah, Tel Aviv, and Cairo for making her evacuation possible.
