However, we cannot deny that there have been times when women have turned into insensitive creatures who don't think twice before putting their children in danger. Sometimes due to society's treatment and sometimes because of her own personal motives, we have seen mothers and women doing absolutely disturbing things that make us think about how a person can be so cruel.

Woman Throws Newborn Out Of Window

In Kolkata, a woman gave birth to a baby boy inside the toilet in her home and threw the newborn out of the window. The woman, allegedly mentally ill, had an alcoholic husband who she got married to in November 2022. The woman had regular periods and no one knew she was pregnant until she gave birth in the toilet. Upon hearing the child cry, she got perplexed, broke the window pane in the toilet and threw the baby out. Though the neighbour rushed to rescue the child, the newborn did not survive the injury and died the next morning.

Woman Throws Daughter From Third Floor

In January 2023, a 30-year-old woman threw her two-month-old daughter from the third floor of the hospital in Ahmedabad she was admitted in. The child has been suffering from illness since her birth. The mother allegedly could not see her in pain anymore and decided to end her life and hence her suffering once and for all. She initially tried to mislead relatives and her family that the child went missing. The truth was revealed after going through the CCTV footage of the hospital after which she confessed her crime.

Woman Kills Daughter Over Dispute With Husband 

In a shocking incident from Rajasthan, a woman killed her three-month-old daughter during an argument with her husband. She was upset with her husband over some jewellery that he denied to buy her. After being angry for a few days, the husband tried to make her understand the situation and convince her to stop arguing. However, the woman got extremely furious and picked her daughter from her lap and threw her on the floor. The child was severely injured and was admitted to the hospital but couldn't survive. The mother was arrested for her child's murder.

Woman Tortures Daughter For Not Doing Homework

Another spine-chilling incident was reported from northeast Delhi where a five-year-old girl studying in class 1 was tied by her mother and left to wither on the terrace during the day. The girl allegedly failed to do her homework and as a punishment, her mother tied her hands and legs and laid her on the burning terrace floor in the scorching summer heat. A neighbour shot the incident on video and informed the authorities about the torture inflicted on the child. The Child Welfare Committee took charge of the case and gave the girl's custody to her father while filing a case against her mother.

Adoptive Mother Tortures Minor Girl

A seven-year-old girl was adopted by a senior nursing officer in South Delhi who already had a property dealer son. The mother-son duo used to assault and harass the little girl by inflicting multiple injuries on her. The girl's school teacher noticed a change in her behaviour and found multiple injuries including metal burn marks and wounds in private parts of the girl. Upon asking, she told that her adoptive mother and her son used to beat her and make her do household chores. The child was taken into custody by Child Welfare Committee and sent for medical examination.
