Pani puri, also known as gol gappe, pani ke batashe, phuchka and gup-chup, is one of the most loved foods of South Asians. The popular street food also holds a world record and Google is celebrating 8 years of that record made by an Indian restaurant.
Pani puri can safely be called a food item that every Indian loves. Google Pani Puri Doodle
Google's Wednesday doodle has an interactive game about a restaurant in which the users have to timely deliver the order of pani puris to the customers. The doodle honours eight years of the record made by a restaurant in Indore for serving the most flavours of pani puris. The world record is mentioned in the Golden Book of World Records in the name of Indori Zayka.
Indori Zayka served 51 different flavours of pani puri under Chef Neha Shah's guidance on July 12, 2015 hence making it to the book of world records. The restaurant is known for trending food items like black ice cream, cone fries, potato twisters etc. It also organises food bloggers' meet and food carnivals in Indore as well.
There are many other records that people have made about pani puri like eating the most pani puri and eating them in the least possible time. The love Indians have for food is extremely unique and pani puri definitely has a special place in our hearts.
