English singer Sarah Harding, in Hear Me Out, her memoir released Saturday, has opened up on her battle with cancer saying she doesn't know how many months she has left. The 39-year-old, who revealed last August that she was diagnosed with breast cancer, says doctors had told her that 2020 Christmas would "probably be her last" as the disease continues to spread to other parts of her body.

Extracts from her memoir published in British publication The Times elaborate on how the former Girls Aloud band member is dealing with the knowledge of her disease. "In December my doctor told me that the upcoming Christmas would probably be my last. I don’t want an exact prognosis. I don’t know why anyone would want that."

Sarah Harding is "trying to live and enjoy every second of my life, however long it might be."

"Comfort and being as pain-free as possible is what’s important to me now. I am having a glass of wine or two during all this, because it helps me relax... I’m at a stage now where I don’t know how many months I have left."

Harding writes that her treatment for breast cancer included a mastectomy and chemotherapy. While at hospital, she reveals that for some time she could not speak properly because of sepsis. "All I could do was make noises that sounded like a chimpanzee trying to communicate," she writes.

Another tumour was also found in her body, which she said could worsen the prognosis. She has stuck to a chemotherapy plan over radiotherapy since she wants her hair to remain unaffected "if there’s a chance I’ve only got six months."

Sarah Harding, also known for acting in film Freefall and winning Celebrity Big Brother 20 in 2017, says she hopes to have a big 'goodbye' bash with her loved ones soon. "I think what I’d really like to do is to see everyone – all my friends, all together. One last time. Then I’d throw a great big f*** off party as a way to say thank you and goodbye."

Hear Me Out released on March 13.
