Samya Mansoori, 18, may have received the best birthday present of her life when she underwent a unilateral hand transplant, the first of its kind in India, according to the staff at Global Hospital, where she had the procedure done.

Mansoori, a citizen of Gujarat's Baruch district, underwent a successful operation despite not having had her right hand since birth. The teen spoke with ANI and stated, "Really, really happy. I have to do a lot of things with my hand." She added, "When I learned that I would get the hand, a lot of things were going through my head. I've even had dreams in which my hands are used for many different tasks, including driving."

Girl Recieves Unilateral Hand Transplant:

Mansoori, who is presently pursuing her Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA), stated that after completing her BCA and MCA, she wants to work for the police department's cyber team as a police officer.

She added, "Without my hand, I used to experience a lot of difficulties. When I was younger, my My younger classmates would make fun of me for not having a hand. I even backed away away from going in public. Now, they won't say anything." She even exhorted individuals to donate organs in order to save lives.

Samya's mother, Shenaaz Mansoori, said, "I am the happiest person in the world right now. For the past five years, we have been looking for a helping hand for her. However, medical professionals advised against surgery until she was 18 years old. She turned 18 on January 10 and registered for the transplant." She added, "We were called six days ago to inquire about the hand's availability. the happened on January 30th, Monday."

"Within a few days of her registration, we found a donor. She received a lot of counselling over the past two years, and we decided to proceed with the surgery after taking her need and confidence into account," "said the surgeon who operated on her, Dr. Nilesh Satbhai.

In order to get a hand transplant, the family went to see Nilesh Satbhai, Sr. Consultant Plastic, Hand, and Reconstructive Microsurgeon, Global Hospitals, Parel.
