Jennifer Gwynne, who dated Elon Musk during her college days, is now selling unseen pictures of Musk as well as them together to earn money for her stepson's college expenses. The relationship between Gwynne and Elon Musk, who were both students at the University of Pennsylvania in 1994, reportedly lasted a year. Along with his images, Elon Musk's gifts, including a birthday card with his signature and a 14K gold necklace, have been kept for auction.
According to the information provided in the description of the auctioned items, Gwynne and Musk started dating in the fall of 1994–1995 while they were both living and working as Resident Advisors (RAs) in the University of Pennsylvania's Quadrangle dorm's "Spruce Street" section.
There are 18 pictures up for auction. Musk can be seen laughing while lying on the floor in one of the pictures, with his feet raised on a table. Writing about this image, Gwynne says, "This photo was taken at my dormitory in Penn's Quad. Elon was often pretty reserved, but every now and then he would just act silly and want me to laugh with him. I, therefore, made the decision to record his true smile."

There is one photo of Musk and Gwynne together which according to Gwynne, Musk's mother, Maye Musk, took. She wrote, "Maye Musk, visited us in Philadelphia. We were seated on a bench in the Quadrangle, a large freshman residence at the University of Pennsylvania, when she took this photo of us.
The orange "old school" date stamp in the corner of the print indicates that I must have acquired it from Maye. As I recall, Maye gave the three of us the gift of a vacation to New York City to see the musical "Tommy," but just as we were about to leave, Elon's car developed a problem." Another thing up for auction on RR Auction is a birthday card that the Tesla CEO personally signed and gave to Jennifer Gwynne.
