Popular comedian and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive for the coronavirus. She took to her social media profiles to share the news with followers. The 62-year-old who hosts the television show The Ellen DeGeneres Show said that she is "feeling fine right now," and is "following all CDC guidelines." She informed those who had been in contact with her have been notified, telling fans that she would see them again after the holidays. Good wishes for recovery are pouring in for DeGeneres on social media.

It was reported recently that DeGeneres, along with her partner Portia de Rossi, bought an estate worth $49million in Montecito, California. This could potentially make the couple neighbours with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and baby Archie. According to The Wall Street Journal, DeGeneres and de Rossi's private deal makes the compound one of the priciest ever sold in the Santa Barbara County area.

Earlier in the year, during the summer, DeGeneres' talk show faced controversy for being a toxic workplace and alleged harassment towards staff such as racial discrimination and sexual misconduct. Warner Bros started investigating her show in July. After investigation, DeGeneres apologised and promised to make the workplace a kind place as she had always intended.
