The wife of Riyaz Bhati, the alleged close aide of Mumbai gangster Dawood Ibrahim, Rehnuma Bhati, has grabbed headlines after her explosive allegations of rape and molestation against many prominent personalities, as per reports.

According to reports, the case is now under police investigation. Bhati had filed a complaint last month at the Santacruz police station. There have been reports which said that the authorities have not found any evidence related to Bhati's claims.

Rehnuma Bhati has named many famous personalities including Hardik Pandya, Congress politician, BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla, her own husband Riyaz and many others who allegedly sexually assaulted her. She alleged that her husband forced her into having sex with over 15-20 famous people.
Her husband Riyaz Bhati has allegedly worked closely with Mumbai gangster Dawood Ibrahim, Rehnuma alleged that for over 15 years, Riyaz has been forcing her into prostitution.
According to a report, an FIR has not been filed in the case. The news agency ANI quoted a source who said, "The matter is under investigation ever since the complaint was registered by Rehnuma Bhati. But so far we have not found evidence with regard to the allegations."

The allegations made by Rehnuma come after her husband Riyaz has been named in connection with Bharatiya Janta Party leader Devendra Fadnavis. The former Chief Minister of Maharashtra has been accused by National Congress Party's Nawab Malik of being connected with Riyaz.
At a press conference earlier this week, the NCP leader said, "Who is Riyaz Bhati? He was caught with a fake passport and is linked to Dawood... He was seen at functions with (Fadnavis) and even at BJP events."
According to reports, Riyaz Bhati is an alleged associate of Ibrahim, head of the crime syndicate D-Company and among the most wanted underworld names in India.
He also has a long criminal history, having previously been booked in cases of extortion, firing and forgery. According to reports, he is currently on the run as police are searching for him.
The Print, which claims to have accessed Rehnuma Bhati's police complaint, said that her husband forced her inti having sex with different prominent men between 2011 to 2015.
A cricketer and his friends "committed unnatural sexual activities under the influence of alcohol and drugs" against her, Bhati alleges. The complaint further mentions Bhati was made to dance naked and assaulted in the presence of a politician.
Bhati and her husband have two children together, whom he has allegedly threatened to kill if she didn't comply with his sexual demands. He is allegedly also in possession of sensitive photos of Bhati and isn't providing her with any financial aid.
