Hotstar Specials has dropped the trailer for the next season of its crime-thriller web seriesCriminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors today. In this chapter of the franchise Criminal Justice based on the BBC series of the same name, Pankaj Tripathi returns as advocate Madhav Mishra. The series also stars Kirti Kulhari, Anupriya Goenka, Jisshu Sengupta, Mita Vashishth Deepti Naval, Ashish Vidyarthi and Shilpa Shukla in key roles.
The new season of the series revolves around Anuradha Chandra, who has confessed to stabbing her husband to death. The case has already been deemed as "open-and-shut" after her confession. Mishra is however adamant that there's something more to the case than meets the eye. Chandra's silence and reluctance to defend herself poses many problems for advocate Mishra who has agreed to represent her.
Criminal Justice: Behind Closed Doors will release on December 24 on Disney+Hostar VIP. The 8-episode courtroom thriller is directed by Rohan Sippy and Arjun Mukherjee, and written by Apurva Asrani.
