Actress Courteney Cox is all set for a festive mood with Johnny McDaid. The actress travelled thousands of miles from Malibu, United States to Derry, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom to celebrate Christmas with her partner. She had not met him for around nine months because of travel restrictions due to COVID-19 pandemic.

This is the first time the couple were seen together this year as they were stuck in different continents amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The actress exclaimed that they were away from each other for more than 200 days.

Earlier the couple recorded a message for the frontline workers in Derry, Ireland. "We just want to thank all the people at Ráth Mór in Creggan for all the incredible work you have done this year," Cox said in the video as she stood next to McDaid.

Johnny is a singer and songwriter from Northern Ireland, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the band Snow Patrol and Vega4. He has written songs with other artists including Ed Sheeran, P!nk and Robbie Williams.

Although Courteney Cox broke off her engagement with the songwriter back in 2015, they are still together.

In Foy Vance's The Vinyl Supper podcast in October, she opened up about living in America while her boyfriend resides in Europe. She said, "Let's say it's been 150 days, I've cooked 145 of them. And I haven't seen John in that many days. He left the next day after the whole country shut down - or at least when California did. I think maybe New York was before us." She further added that she missed him a lot.
