The nurse, Hannah Hewitt got married to Palendra Singh and the wedding ceremony was conducted in a temple in Singh’s village, Bamroli Katara.

28-year-old Singh works at a private firm as a sales manager. His father is a farmer and his brother works in Poland. As the COVID-19 pandemic hit India, he began a podcast on social media and came in contact with Hewitt.

The two began discussing their likes and dislikes, learned about each other’s cultures, and exchanged contact information and decided to get married after the COVID-19 pandemic ended.

Hewitt, the resident of Manchester spoke with India Today and said she would do her best to mold herself into the Indian lifestyle and will also learn Hindi.

After three years of courtship, the couple tied the knot at the Shiv Shakti temple in Singh's village.

The traditional Indian wedding was conducted in the presence of local residents and Hewitt wore traditional Indian bridal attire.

With the consent of the bride and groom, the marriage ceremony was conducted as per Vedic rituals. Reportedly, Hewitt will settle down in India with her husband.
