The team, led by the District Mining Officer, District Transport Officer, and Additional Sub-District Magistrate, Danapur, conducted a raid at the closed petrol pump beneath the Koilwar Bridge at around 3.45 p.m. The entire transport and mining team, including MVI and ESI, were busy with inspection when Illegal sand mafias and goons began throwing stones and shouting insults at them. District Mining Officer Kumar Gaurav and two mining inspectors, Syed Farheen and Amya Kumari, suffered injuries in the incident and are being treated. Their condition now is reportedly stable.

A video of the incident shows a big crowd following after and hurling stones at the female officer. Several others, including the one recording, were seen shouting harsh comments at her and threatening to injure her. Despite the officer's attempts to leave, the gang swung lathis at her. As the individual filming the video came on the scene, a figure was seen grabbing the officer's hand.

Chandrashekhar Singh, the District Magistrate of Patna, acted promptly in response to the incident, deploying the Sub- Divisional Officer and Sub-Divisional Police Officer from Danapur to the location after receiving information. The District Magistrate pledged to take appropriate legal action against all involved in the situation, while a black Scorpio vehicle, complete with a wireless device, was also impounded from the scene.

The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, Rajeev Mishra, has reported that the police have made several arrests related to an ongoing investigation. Further arrests are expected, and the police are actively seeking the mastermind behind the incident.

A series of extensive raids are presently being carried out to detain those accountable for hurling stones at the female officer.  44 people have already been charged in three separate First Information Reports (FIRS), and around 50 vehicles have been seized as a result of these charges.
