Bihar: Minor Girl Gangraped And Burnt Alive At Her Residence In Muzaffarpur

A minor girl was allegedly gangraped and burnt alive at her residence in Muzaffarpur city of Bihar. The girl’s father registered an FIR with the Police. He also named four persons as accused in this case.

As per a report by, there were two primary accused in the case, named Gulshan Kumar and Chanchal Kumar. Reportedly, Gulshan Kumar coaxed the girl to come to a passageway where the two men raped her. They also made a questionable video of the minor girl. Then, the two perpetrators asked her to back go home and threatened her not to tell about the incident to anyone. However, the girl revealed everything to her family members after reaching home. Out of the fear of being caught, the two men barged into the girl’s house and burnt her alive.

As per ANI, police has begun the investigation in the Muzaffarpur case. “We have initiated the investigation & our priority is arresting the culprits,” police said.

Deaf, Mute Girl Gang-raped in Madhubani, Bihar

Another brutal rape case of Bihar made the headline today. In a spine-chilling incident, a 15-year-old deaf and mute girl has been allegedly gang-raped in Madhubani area of Bihar. As per TOI, the incident happened in Kauwaha Barhi village in Harlakhi police station area on Tuesday when the girl had gone out to graze her goat.

Reports also reveal that the perpetrators tried to turn her blind so that she wouldn’t be able to identify them. The girl’s eyes have been brutally damaged using sharp objects. However, it is still to be determined whether she has lost her sight completely. Three people have been accused in the case and arrested by Police.

Statistics of Rape Cases In Bihar

As per data by Bihar Police, a total of 1244 cases of rape was reported in Bihar in the year 2020 which has increased from 746 in 2001. A 2019 report by SCRB (State Crime Records Bureau) states that one rape case is recorded every six hours in Bihar. On an average, 25 per cent of rape survivors were of age below 20 years while 40-45 per cent of the perpetrators were youngsters of age 18 to 30 years. The report stated that the capital city of the state, Patna, is not safe for women in terms of security.
