Two residents hailing from Patel Nagar in Patna have opened up about a land-grabbing accusation against Ravi Prasad, the brother of Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Renu Devi. Brahmanand Singh and Shrawan Kumar wrote letters to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other top officials of Bihar. They included the Chief Secretary and the DGP and asked them to intervene in the matter.

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi said in her statement, "I'm deeply sad to know that my name is being dragged into someone's (her brother Vinu Kumar) matter with whom I have no contact for last the 5 years. I am living a public life for the last 42 years, no one in the country can raise a finger on my behaviour."

Brahmanand Singh said, "Ravi Prasad alias Pinnu along with his associates grabbed my plot in Patel Nagar on June 21. They have even started the construction of a wall on the plot. When we objected to their forcible act, Prasad threatened me with dire consequences and asked his associates to take me and Sharawan to Deputy CM Renu Devi's official residence in Patna."

The duo further said that they met with the Bihar Deputy Chief Minister to inform her about the alleged acts of her brother. But during the meet, she said that she has no connection with her brother Ravi Prasad.

Sharawan Kumar told the media that the land's market price is six crore rupees. He also said that the incident of land grab on June 21 was captured on a CCTV camera. According to reports, the duo has sent the footage to the Chief Minister and other officials and also informed the Shastri Nagar police station but no one came to the spot.
