Baby Beau Biden has recently visited his grandfather and grandmother, US President Joe and First Lady Jill Biden, in the White House and the internet can hardly keep calm. The 10-month-old Beau is the son of Hunter Biden and is named after their uncle. The eldest son of the Joe and Jill Biden, Joseph Robinette Beau Biden, was the former attorney general of Delaware, and passed away in 2015 of brain cancer at 46. When Hunter’s son was born in 2020, he was named after the late Beau.
Talking about the baby boy now, in their first White House interview with People, Jill said, “We used to have two sets of bunk beds at home, they outgrew them. Although we now have one little 10-month-old.”
“Family is the beginning, middle and end,” Joe said while Jill notes that they’ve added a crib to the White House. “And Jill’s going to warn me not to say this because I sometimes get emotional, but it meant so much that Beau was there — our son Beau, who was an incredible man. He was there in his namesake, his nephew Beau-y. It just seemed—,” he added.
“Complete,” Jill said.
Baby Beau stole the show at the inauguration day in Washington, D.C. last month. He accompanied his father Hunter Biden, 50, and wife Melissa Cohen to the inauguration festivities. He witnessed his grandfather was being sworn in as president at the U.S. Capitol.
