Bengaluru Police stated today that a woman was abducted from a park and then gang-raped by four men in a moving car on March 25. The four suspects have all been apprehended, and an investigation is currently proceeding.

A 19-year-old woman was allegedly abducted from Koramangala by a group of four individuals and gang-raped for more than four hours in a moving car. According to authorities, the incident occurred last week, on March 25, when the woman was seeing a friend in the National Games Village Park in Koramangala. One of the accused approached the two and objected to their late-night presence in the park.

As the woman's friend left, the man called three of his pals, who pulled the woman from the park into their parked car. The four men rushed away in their car, gang-raped the woman in the moving vehicle, and dumped her near her house in the early hours of the next morning. The four accused threatened the victim with "dire consequences" if she reported the event to the police.

The police responded strongly and detained four people who were involved in the incident. Sathish, Vijay, Sridhar, and Kiran, all between the ages of 22 and 26, were apprehended soon afterward. All four are locals of Ejipura and the neighbouring environs.

They work as office boys and in other positions in various private enterprises. According to police, the woman, who works for a private enterprise, was sitting in a park with a male friend in Koramangala's National Games Village (NGV) at 9.30 pm. on March 25. One of the accused who was staying nearby noticed the pair smoking in the park. He questioned them and asked them what they were up to. The pair got into a fight with the accused and told him to mind his own business.

According to senior Bengaluru police officer CK Baba, all four detained suspects are being interrogated, and the rape survivor was treated at a hospital before filing an official complaint.
