In the miraculous incident that was reported on Saturday in Maharashtra's Thane district, the woman remained unhurt even though a train passed the platform, a police officer informed.

As per reports, Shruti Vishal Malve, who is a mother of three children, was suffering from a mental disorder.

Malve, who had left home without informing any family member, laid on the tracks early on Thursday said Kalyan GRP officials.

On June 16, Shruti Malve’s husband went to his parent's house along with their children while his wife stayed back with her eight-year-old son.

The woman’s mother Pramila Anil Shinde said that she stays in Mulund along with her family. "Since her in-laws also stay in Mulund, her husband sometimes stays with them,” she added.

She also informed that she suffers from a mental disorder and if skips her medicines, she goes out of control. "She forgot to take her medicine on Wednesday night. Around 2 am on Thursday, she left her house,” Shinde added.

Malve then came to her parents’ place Badlapur Thursday at 6 am, however, she left after a while without letting anyone know. The woman's mother informed that they looked for her everywhere, even in the railway station but could not find her.

Senior Inspector Shardul Valmik of the Kalyan GRP said that Malve was spotted  200 meters from the Badlapur station at the centre of the railway tracks. The driver of the Udyan Express noticed her at the last moment at 9:25 am. As per reports, even after applying emergency brakes, the train passed over her.

Later, the driver informed the station master and the Railway Police Force and GRP officials were alerted thereafter.

“The woman was in shock, so we took her in confidence and asked her about her family. She said her mother stays in Badlapur,” said Valmik.

In the meantime, a team was sent to the woman’s house and her mother was brought to the Kalyan GRP office. Valmik said that the statements of both Malve and Shinde were recorded and eventually they were sent back home.

Shinde also that earlier on Friday Shruti had abruptly left home again when everyone at home was asleep. However, they managed to locate her nearby that day.
