Ashley St. Clair, the mother of billionaire Elon Musk's 13th son Romulus, has filed a lawsuit in New York State against Musk’s AI company, xAI. She alleges that Grok, an AI chatbot integrated into X (formerly Twitter), generated explicit AI-manipulated images of her without her consent. She states that the images include one where she is underage and that this happened despite assurances that such content would be prevented. She is seeking both punitive and compensatory damages.

The lawsuit follows Musk's public announcement that he would pursue full custody of their one-year-old son, citing St. Clair's comments, which he interpreted as suggesting she might "transition" the child, a claim she vehemently denies. This legal move escalates their already acrimonious, highly public feud over custody, child support, and cyberbullying.

Who Is Ashley St. Clair?

Ashley St. Clair had revealed her tryst with Musk in 2025 with an announcement on X, "Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father."

The 26-year-old said she had not disclosed this earlier as she wanted to protect the infant's privacy. Speaking to the New York Post, she recently revealed details about her 'life of secrecy' while dating Musk.

The Manhattan-based mom-of-two told the outlet that she and Elon Musk met on social media. "It started with X interactions and he slid into my DM’s. I think it was a meme." While she initially didn't have "much interest" in him, they soon started seeing each other. St. Clair's lawyer said that they would sign an agreement about raising the child.

How Elon Responded To St. Clair's Pregnancy

St. Clair told the NY Post that when she got pregnant, Musk informed her to keep it a secret. He bought her a lavish two-bedroom apartment in the Financial District and was reportedly forced to spend her pregnancy alone. "Every part of my career and everything I used to do I couldn’t do anymore. I was told not to tell anybody," she said.

St. Clair claimed that some of Musk's fans started speculating that she had given birth to his baby and began harassing her. “There was a cohort of very violent stalkers who started threatening my toddler, they would send me photos of him with blood and that I would witness his blood splattering death and saying I was Elon’s whore," she detailed.

When she opened up about Musk being the father of her five-month-old baby, social media trolls did not spare a chance to abuse her. While many claimed St. Clair was lying, others humiliated her choices. “It is very hard to understate how much I am processing right now. I am sad that my hand was forced by the media to do this now," she said.

Elon Musk has not responded to St. Clair's explosive social media statement. When her team sent him a notification about it before she made the announcement, "he ignored it," she said. However, St. Clair said she is satisfied with her decision to go public but hopes the revelation will allow her to give her baby a normal life.
