Soon after the verdict, Khan's lawyer filed an interim bail application in court which is to be heard on Friday. All the accused persons will have to stay in Narcotics Control Bureau office on Thursday night as they will need RT-PCR reports and vaccine details before entering the jail premises.

The NCB reportedly sought custody of Aryan Khan and others till October 11 but the court rejected the plea. The agency claimed that they are making progress in the investigation but the lawyers representing Khan and others argued that the investigation has not progressed much.

The judge's verdict said, "As per the submissions made by the prosecution, they want to confront Aryan Khan and Arbaaz Merchant with Achit Kumar who was arrested recently. I don't do not want to go into that aspect and discuss the fact that why despite a statement given on the first day itself, they arrested Achit now."

"Each remand cannot be given NCB custody going through the investigations. Considering of the past custody given. No custodial interrogation is required as sufficient time was given to the agency"

Achit Kumar arrested in the same case has been sent to NCB custody till October 9. He was named Aryan Khan's alleged supplier. Lawyer Satish Maneshinde appearing for Aryan Khan asked the NCB why they have not confronted Kumar with Khan and other accused persons so far.

Manishinde added, "The question of confronting me with someone cannot be the only ground to remand me to custody. Now they have arrested cruise organisers. Now conspiracy will be if I have any association with anyone else on the ship." He also argued in court that Khan was not interrogated in the last two days he spent in NCB custody.
