In the latest news, Alia Bhatt, on Tuesday, slammed a publication for invading her privacy. On her Instagram stories, the actress shared a collage of two pictures (clicked by paparazzi), in which she can be seen sitting in her living room.

Alia Bhatt slams paparazzi over private pic

Bollywood rallied behind Alia Bhatt and expressed disgust and shock on social media after a media portal shared pictures of Bhatt sitting inside her home, clicked via zoom lens from an adjoining building. Actors Anushka Sharma and Janhvi Kapoor have shared their own similar experiences while calling out the media portal for such an ‘invasion of privacy’. Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor and Swara Bhasker have called the incident ‘shameful’.

Bhatt, who welcomed a baby girl with husband Ranbir Kapoor last November, wrote in an Instagram story, "There’s a line that you must not cross, and it is safe to say that all lines were crossed today.”

The photo was deleted after Bhatt called out the media outlet.

South Korea court recognises same-sex couples for the first time

In a landmark decision, a court in South Korea ruled that same-sex couples are entitled to the same spousal coverage under the national health insurance service as heterosexual couples – the first time the country has recognised the legal status of a gay partner.

The decision was welcomed by the couple So Sung-uk and Kim Yong-min who launched the legal petition. The couple held a wedding ceremony in 2019 but were unable to register their marriage because South Korean authorities do not recognise their union as legal.

“I am delighted because I felt like the judges told us through a court decision that the feelings of love I have for my husband should not be the target of ignorance or insults,” So told reporters, according to the Herald.

Gurgaon woman locked self, son for 3 years to escape Covid

A woman, who had locked herself and her 10-year-old son in their Gurgaon home for three years fearing contracting COVID, was brought out of confinement by officials on Tuesday. A team of health officials, police officers and the child services department had to break open the door to bring them out of confinement.

In all these years, Munmun Majhi, a homemaker in her mid-30s, also kept her husband away after he stepped out to go to the office when restrictions eased in 2020.
