A Peek Inside Alia Bhatt's Festive Baby Shower With Family

Mom-to-be Alia Bhatt celebrated her baby shower in the presence of family and friends on Wednesday on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra. The actor, who donned yellow-coloured ethnic wear, looked radiant during the ceremony. Close friends and family members of the couple marked their presence on the occasion and showered her with love and blessings.

Alia Bhatt, who will be seen in an American spy action thriller film next, is expecting her first child with husband Ranbir Kapoor. The couple is currently basking in the worldwide success of their film Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva.

Alia Bhatt Baby Shower

Alia Bhatt's baby shower ceremony, also called Godhbharai, took place in the couple's house in Mumbai. The couple's family members including Soni Razdan, Neetu Kapoor, Shaheen Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Riddhima Kapoor Sahani, and Karisma Kapoor attended the function among others. Bhatt's close friends' actors Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and Anushka Ranjan were also present at the ceremony alongside Karan Johar and Ayan Mukerji.

The family performed the puja for the baby shower ceremony and later shared their celebratory moments on social media. Karisma Kapoor shared a heartwarming photo of herself with the couple and wished her fans on the occasion of Dussehra. Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor announced the news of their pregnancy in June this year.

Bhatt recently launched her own line of maternity wear under her label Ed-A-Mamma. In an announcement on social media last week, she shared how her new venture is a seed of the personal experience of her pregnancy, and the need to bring out more comfortable wear that helps pregnant women match style with comfort.

The actor-producer and entrepreneur recently returned from Singapore after receiving the TIME 100 Impact Award. While delivering her acceptance speech, she shared towards the end how her baby had been relentlessly kicking her throughout the speech.

Bhatt will be seen on the screen with two big film projects as her films Rocky Aur Pinky Ki Prem Kahani and Heart Of Stone are all set to release in 2023.
